Next Generation Testing & Requirements Based Testing
Proudly sponsored by Access Testing and Borland Software:
Sydney - 2 May 2007
Melbourne - 16 May 2007
Brisbane - 30 May 2007
Sam Warwick, Senior Automation Consultant for Access Testing, and founder of Odin Technology in the UK, talked about Next Generation Testing.
Test automation has picked up a poor reputation in the testing industry, but the good news is there is a better way. Sam talked about the evolution of test automation and the need for a standardisation of test case definition that works for both manual and automated testing. He also demonstrated AXE; the next generation in testing tools and automation frameworks.
Damien Bootsma, Senior Solutions Engineer for Borland Software talked about Requirements-Based Testing.
QA teams are often forced to make difficult choices due to poor requirements, lack of communication, late code delivery and other factors often well beyond their control. The result is often software that barely meets end-user expectations, or fails altogether. Damien demonstrated how to introduce quality earlier in the software development lifecycle.
